Identity-Centered & Not Strategy-First
Many PD experiences jump straight to strategies without addressing the educator behind the practice. Through this course, you will develop deeper self-awareness that leads to more authentic, sustainable classroom practice.
Reflection-to-Action Design
Reflection without application often leads to insight without change. Each module intentionally bridges reflection with classroom-relevant practice.
Built for Educators at Any Stage
Whether you are a new teacher, veteran educator, or school leader, this course meets you where you are. This course allows you to engage at your own pace while deepening your practice in meaningful, non-performative ways.
About the course
If you’re an educator who genuinely wants to create a classroom where every student feels seen, valued, and affirmed but you’re unsure where to start, afraid of getting it wrong, or tired of surface-level DEI trainings, Learning to Relearn was created with you in mind. This course meets you where you are and guides you through a reflective yet practical journey that begins with understanding your own identity and leads to concrete classroom shifts that build belonging, trust, and community. Grounded in my 17 years of educator experience, this course offers a rare blend of honest self-reflection, clear frameworks, and classroom-ready practices you can apply immediately. You won’t find quick fixes here! What you will gain is clarity, confidence, and tools to teach in ways that align with your values and honor your students’ identities.
A Word from Kwame......
As a former middle school math teacher, I quickly learned that teaching was never just about content; it was about relationships, identity, and whether students felt safe enough to be their full selves in the classroom. Along the way, I faced self-doubt, burnout, and the tension of working within systems that often prioritized compliance over humanity. What helped me move forward was slowing down, reflecting deeply, and committing to unlearning practices that no longer served me or my students. Those experiences shaped my work beyond the classroom as an author, consultant, and speaker supporting educators across the United States, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, and Zambia. I’m excited to share this course because I believe teaching can be liberating for both students and educators. My biggest goal is to help teachers align who they are with how they teach, so classrooms become spaces rooted in belonging, dignity, and care and "Learning to Relearn" is an invitation to take that journey with me.

Here are what a few of the past users have shared about Learning to Relearn!
Learning to Relearn is the course I didn’t know I needed and now can’t stop recommending. Kwame challenges educators to unlearn biases, affirm student identities, and create classrooms rooted in justice, not just inclusion. After taking this course, I walked away with both a fuller heart and a sharper toolkit for affirming all learners.

Learning to Relearn offers endless strategies for celebrating the intersectional identities of our students and in turn their caregivers, teachers, coaches, and leaders. It's a must have course to help us all reflect and lift our practices.

As a conscious educator, I felt like there was nothing I could do to change the system. And then a package arrived to my home with Learning to Relearn and I felt myself rejuvenated as I sat at my desk and read. The book is the college course we needed in undergrad and the PD that our districts are forbidden to provide. Now, there's a full course that packs up all the brilliance from the book! Whether you are a new educator or a mid year educator in need of motivation to keep up the fight, this course is everything you need and then some!

Kwame Sarfo-Mensah’s "Learning to Relearn" popped up on my radar, and I’m so glad it did! This course is like a breath of fresh air, packed with insights that are not just for educators but for us parents too.
